Choose Güzelçamlı when several days of your holiday will focus on the southern coast and Dilek Peninsula. Choose central Kuşadası when most evenings, port commitments and departures start there, and visit Güzelçamlı for a day instead. The useful question is not which area is universally better, but which address reduces the journeys you will repeat.
Do not book solely because a listing says “near the national park”. Find the guest entrance and compare it with the actual park entrance, coast access and transport stop. A convenient neighbourhood does not guarantee a quiet room, a flat walk or included parking.

Places to distinguish on your map
Dilek Peninsula is the protected-area outing; Güzelçamlı is the settlement where you may stay or spend time before and after it. The provincial tourism source also names Güzelçamlı Beach. Keep that settlement-coast option separate from the national park's coves: they are not one entrance with identical facilities or rules.
Zeus Cave is another local landmark identified by the municipality. Its name comes with mythological stories, which are part of the place's cultural interest rather than proof of historical events or benefits from its water. Treat a visit as a chance to see the setting where access permits; this guide does not establish that entering the water is permitted or safe.
Panionion adds historical interest, but check which place your map shows. The municipality has separate records for the archaeological site and modern Panionion Park. The park's refurbishment description says its columns represent the Ionian cities; they should not be mistaken for ancient ruins. Confirm visitor access before making the archaeological site a fixed appointment.
Give the national park its own plan
Use the dedicated Dilek Peninsula guide to choose a park outing, then check the authority's current notices before travelling. A nearby hotel or a boat advertisement does not confirm that a particular gate, cove or walking route is open. The available sources do not support a fixed timetable or entrance price here.
Choose one main stop rather than assuming you can combine several coves, a walk and a boat trip. Bring the water, sun protection and personal essentials your outing needs; check any required toilets, shade or access arrangements for that specific place. If conditions or restrictions prevent the visit, shorten the day to an appropriate settlement outing rather than treating another natural site as automatically usable.
What to confirm before a car-free stay
Before choosing a car-free stay, confirm the outward stop, destination and return service for your dates. The municipal transport pages previously checked did not provide a usable timetable or fare. We therefore do not publish a service frequency or last departure based on an old guide or a map label.
Ask about the final journey too: reaching Güzelçamlı does not necessarily deliver you to the hotel or chosen park stop. For an airport arrival, early excursion or late return from central Kuşadası, obtain a specific transport arrangement and total. Save the hotel entrance and provider contact. Do not build an evening around an unconfirmed final minibus.
If you drive, check parking at the property and at the place you intend to visit separately. If you book a boat trip, confirm its departure point, itinerary, inclusions and weather-related terms with the operator. A boat booking is separate from land admission to the national park.
Choose accommodation that works between outings
Compare three everyday walks from the property: to food or supplies, to your intended coast or departure point, and back after dinner. Look beyond straight-line distance to gradients, surfaces and crossings. For a pushchair or wheelchair, ask about the complete street-to-room route rather than relying on an accessibility icon.
Confirm the room, beds, meal arrangement, late-arrival procedure and cancellation terms for your party. Add repeated transfers and meals to the accommodation total before comparing it with a central stay. Keep the first evening simple, especially when arriving late; do not depend on an unverified shop or restaurant for something essential.
A flexible day outline
Before leaving, confirm access and your return arrangement. Make the park your main outing if that is the reason for the trip; otherwise plan a settlement-and-coast visit. Leave time for a meal and rest instead of filling every gap with another stop.
Consider Zeus Cave or Panionion only after checking visitor access and allowing for the walk and time available. Leave enough time to reach your confirmed return departure. If you stay overnight, use the first day to get to know the local routes before planning repeated trips elsewhere.
